Everlasting Gifts

I normally travel home for Mother’s Day but this year my children are in school now so I can not get away. I have been struggling with making sure that I let my mom know how much she means to me even though I can’t be there. I have come up with a neat gift idea for mom. Read about my Mother’s Day Plans and Gift Ideas. This is the first year my oldest has been in school. Adjusting to a school schedule has been different for my husband and I. We were using to being able to leave on a moment’s notice. I even used to take my daughter with me on business trips. Now I actually find myself avoiding business travel when ever I can because I do not want to be away from my children. Holidays are also becomming problematic. Instead of deciding who’s parents we are going to visit first, we are discovering that we can not travel at all. I know why some parents decide that home schooling makes more sense. I do not plan to go that far as I really think public school or private school is a much better alternative for my daughter so for now we will just have to adjust and tell our parents that they will need to come visit us if they want to see us during the school year.
